A Conversation at The Water's Edge

What does it mean to stand by the water’s edge?

The surface rests in a deceptive calm, yet beneath the glass, the deep currents surge with an untamed, rhythmic power.

You feel the pull; the gravity of the deep, where one foot in will have you swept under tides surging high. So, you stand there, gazing into the glistening call of the infinite. But what if, for a sacred moment, you ceased your standing?

Would you be carried into depths beyond your command, or be moved by unseen currents through the steadying power of faith?

God’s everlasting Word is steadfast; it does not waver in its truth. Why, then, do we tremble at the water’s edge, hesitating to surrender our weight to the buoyancy of His promise, and entrust ourselves to the grace that sustains all who believe?

Draw in a long, salt-braced breath until your lungs expand like the rising tide; then, sink your weight into the shore, feeling the sun-warmed grit yield and shift between your toes. Allow the steady, rolling cadence of the surf to harmonize with the life-giving pulse within you.

Step-by-step, walk in faith; as you surrender to His leading, you will find yourself riding the waves of His providence.

Person in dark coat walks along a rocky beach toward a calm, shimmering sea under a bright cloudy sky.

It does not fight the rushing air, but finds a grace in being there. In swaying motion, wild and free, it learns the art of letting be.
